Barney and Silvianne Aspray are theologians.
Silvianne is a British Academy postdoctoral fellow at the Divinity Faculty of the University of Cambridge. She is currently working on a book about human creativity in theological perspective.
Silvianne is originally from Switzerland, where she is a minister in the Swiss Reformed Church. She completed her PhD at Cambridge on the role of the Reformation in the development of modernity. It has been published by OUP as Metaphysics in the Reformation: The Case of Peter Martyr Vermigli.

Barnabas is Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to this, he taught ethics and leadership to graduate students at the University of Oxford.
Aside from teaching, Barnabas is engaged in research on the Christian ethics of refugees and immigration, a project pursued in partnership with Refugee Education UK, a charity that helps refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people build more hopeful futures through education.
Theology is Barnabas’ second career. He first studied Computer Science at Exeter University and worked for the BBC for several years as a software engineer. Then he went to Regent College, Vancouver, to complete a Master’s in Biblical Studies, then to Cambridge for a systematic theology MPhil. His PhD, also at Cambridge, uncovered the theological potential in Paul Ricœur’s philosophy. It has been published by CUP as Ricœur at the Limits of Philosophy: God, Creation, and Evil.
He also hosts Faith at the Frontiers, a podcast that offers Christian commentary on global challenges.
