Gabrielle Thomas is Assistant Professor of Early Christianity and Anglican Studies at Candler School of Theology of Emory University. Before that, she worked at Durham University and Yale University. Her publications include The Image of God in the Theology of Gregory of Nazianzus (Cambridge University Press, 2019), Women and Ordination in the Orthodox Church (Cascade Books, 2020), For the Good of the Church: Unity, Theology, and Women (SCM Press, 2021), and articles in academic and popular presses. She is an Anglican priest, ordained in the Diocese of London, and is serving as the theologian in- community at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Atlanta. Her next book, The Problem of the Devil in Cappadocian Thought, will be published in 2026 by Cambridge University Press.
